UQ Winter Series Meet #3 - Rescheduled

IMPORTANT NOTE:  UQ Winter/Spring Series Meet #3 has been rescheduled to Saturday September 11th, Entries will re-open next week and will close on Friday September 10th at 8:00am.  This latest change has been made to avoid Fathers Day on September 5th.

 

MEETS ARE BACK! The UQ Athletic Centre is pleased to announce the UQ Sport Winter Athletic Meet Series is back again in 2021. The series will kick off with three meets in July and August and then be part of a Queensland Athletics series through the second part of August and September.

 

The UQ Sport Winter Series is open to any athletes age 10 years and over. It is anticipated the Meet Series will cater for school age athletes preparing for school carnivals as well as District and Regional championships and Open athletes involved in winter training. These meets are a good opportunity for Open athletes to assess their winter training progress.

 

All athletes competing must be registered with Queensland Athletics for insurance purposes. Athletes who wish to compete and are not registered with Queensland Athletics, should first enter at least as a Base Member at $12, and then they are able to lodge an entry. All Meets are sanctioned by Queensland Athletics as State Permit Meets.

 

The following are the proposed dates for the UQ Sport Winter Meets:

 

Winter Meet Series

  • Meet One Saturday, 3rd July
  • Meet Two Sunday, 25th July
  • Meet Three Saturday, 7th August - NOW 11th September

WHO CAN ENTER:

  • The Meets are open to anyone 10 years and over (Born 2011 or earlier). To be eligible to compete athletes must have turned 10 years by the 31st December, 2021

HOW TO ENTER:

  • Entries will be submitted online. Entries will close at 9:00 am on the Friday before the meet.
  • Athletes must be registered with Qld Athletics to be eligible to compete.
  • If you are not a member of UQAC you will need your National ID and Surname, not your Username & Password (structured slightly differently to QA event registrations). You will have been given your National ID when you registered for membership.
  • Entries will not be accepted after online entries close.

WHERE ARE THE MEETS CONDUCTED:

  • The Winter / Spring Meet Series is conducted at the UQ Athletic Centre on Sir William MacGregor Drive, St Lucia

ENTRY FEES:

  • The fee to compete is $20 with no limit on the number of events an athlete may enter
