UQ Sport Kids – Upcoming Programs
Enrolments are now open for UQ Sport Kids’ Winter Holiday and Term 3 Athletics programs at the UQ Sport Athletics Centre!
Winter Holiday Programs
Whether your child is new to the sport or an experienced campaigner, qualified coaches will guide each participant to help them reach their Athletics goals!
Primary (6-11 years): children of all skill levels will love this super-fun clinic, which allows participants to try their hand at running, jumping and throwing exercises, matched to their skill levels!
Secondary (12-17 years): this program goes a little deeper in the coaching of sprints, jumps and throws, with other advanced events introduced, including high and triple jump.

Don’t forget, there’s also a Junior All Comers Meet (ages 6-14) coming up on Friday 5 July (9am-12pm), allowing your child to put into practice all they’ve learned in their coaching program. Enrol here
Term 3 Programs
The 10-week Lower Primary (6-8 years) program is where fun meets fitness! Here, children are introduced to the basics of sprinting, jumping and throwing.
In Upper Primary (9-12 years), it’s all about learning to compete, with more advanced events – including relays, hurdles and javelin – incorporated into training across the 10-week program.
There’s also the Junior Athletics Squad (13-17 years), which caters to state and national-level athletes looking to take their performance to another level. The program is centred on more advanced technical coaching in sprints, jumps and throws, with the further introduction of high jump flop and triple jump. Participants can sign up to a 9, 10 or 19-week program.
