Enrolments are now open for UQ Sport Kids’ Term 1 Athletics Programs, kicking off on Tuesday 29 January at the UQ Sport Athletics Centre!
Lower Primary (6-8 years)
Fun meets fitness! In this 10-week program, children are introduced to the basics of sprinting, jumping and throwing, all while making plenty of friends along the way
Upper Primary (9-12 years)
In Upper Primary, it’s all about learning to compete, with more advanced events – including relays, hurdles and javelin – incorporated into training. The 10-week program also focus on developing your child’s agility, balance and coordination skills.
Junior Athletics Squad (13-17 years)
The UQ Sport Junior Athletics Squad is ideal for state and national-level athletes looking to take their performance to another level! The program is centred on more advanced technical coaching in sprints, jumps and throws, with the further introduction of high jump flop and triple jump. Participants can sign up to a 9, 10 or 19-week program.
