The 2015 Australian Relay Championships will be run in conjunction with the Adelaide Track Classic, 21st February.
The Relay Championships will see 4x100m and 4x400m men's and women's from each state and territory compete for national supremacy and prize money.
Queensland Athletics intends to send the best possible teams to the Australian Relay Championships. A full team for the Championships comprises of 16 athletes total; four men and four women for the 4x100m relay teams & four men and four women for the 4x400m relay teams. Queensland Athletics will provide athletes with transport to the Championships.
Selections will be made at the discretion of the QA selection panel and will be based almost exclusively on the current 2014-15 domestic season, beginning October 1st 2014. Some consideration will be given to exceptional performances from the 2013-14 season, where an athlete has been able to demonstrate satisfactory fitness in the current season.
To be eligible for selection athletes must be a current registered member of Queensland Athletics or Athletics North Queensland and a minimum of 16 years of age as at the 31 December 2015.
Athletes will only be considered for selection if they have completed the team nomination form. Nominations close 9am Monday, 2nd February.
